1. Introduction

Welcome to OutfitLab ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and services, including our digital wardrobe, AI outfit recommendations, and virtual try-on features.

This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service and our User Data & Privacy Agreement.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you:

• Register for an account
• Use our services, including virtual try-on
• Contact us for support
• Participate in surveys or promotions

This information may include:

• Name and email address
• Profile information and preferences
• Photos of your clothing items (wardrobe)
• Full-body photos you upload for virtual try-on
• Style preferences and body measurements (if provided)

2.2 Virtual Try-On Photos

When you use virtual try-on, you upload a full-body photograph of yourself and select outfit items from your wardrobe. These images are stored on our servers (Cloudflare R2) and may be transmitted to authorised third-party AI inference providers solely to generate the try-on result. Virtual try-on adds or swaps garments from your wardrobe onto your photo; it does not remove clothing for the purpose of nudity or undressing.

2.3 Face-Related Processing

We do not use Face ID, collect biometric face templates, or perform facial recognition to identify you. However, full-body try-on photos you upload may incidentally include facial features as part of the image. We process face-related data as follows:

• Virtual try-on: Your photo (which may include your face) is sent to our AI inference partner to generate a try-on image. We instruct our models to preserve your appearance and not alter your face.
• Person detection and framing: We use automated body/pose detection (not facial identification) to crop and frame your photo for optimal try-on results.
• Catalog image privacy: We automatically detect and blur faces appearing in third-party garment or catalog reference images to protect the privacy of individuals in those images. This does not apply to your own try-on photos.

2.4 Automatically Collected Information

When you use our app, we automatically collect certain information, including:

• Device information (type, operating system, unique identifiers)
• Usage data (features used, time spent, interactions)
• Location data (with your permission, for weather-based recommendations)
• Log data and analytics

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services, including wardrobe management and virtual try-on
• Generate AI outfit recommendations and try-on results
• Analyse wardrobe photos to extract category, colour, and style metadata
• Personalize your experience and outfit recommendations
• Process transactions and send related information
• Send you technical notices, updates, and support messages
• Respond to your comments and questions
• Analyze usage patterns to improve our AI algorithms
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and fraud

4. Sharing Your Information and Third-Party AI Services

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following situations:

• Service Providers: With third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to respond to legal process
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
• With Your Consent: When you have given us permission to share, including through in-app disclosures before virtual try-on

4.1 Third-Party AI and Infrastructure Providers

To deliver our services, we share specific data with the following categories of providers under data processing agreements. These providers may only use your data to perform the requested service and must provide equal or equivalent data protection:

• Runware (GPU inference provider): Receives your try-on person photo and selected garment images to generate virtual try-on results. Also receives your generated try-on result image when you request a try-on video (via ByteDance Seedance model). Data is processed temporarily for inference only and is not used to train AI models.
• OpenRouter (AI model gateway):
  • Qwen-VL (vision-language model): Receives wardrobe item photos to extract category, colour, and style metadata. Does not receive your try-on body photos.
  • Google Gemini (language model): Receives your outfit request text and descriptions of items in your wardrobe (category, colour, style tags — not photos) to generate AI outfit recommendations.
• Cloudflare R2: Stores your uploaded wardrobe photos, try-on photos, and generated results.
• RevenueCat: Processes subscription and purchase information for in-app purchases.
• Google / Apple: If you sign in with Google or Apple, those providers process authentication data according to their own privacy policies.

Before any personal data is shared with a third-party AI service, our app displays an in-app disclosure explaining what data will be sent, who will receive it, and asks for your explicit permission. This applies to virtual try-on, wardrobe photo analysis, AI outfit recommendations, and try-on video generation. Privacy policy disclosure alone is not sufficient — consent is obtained in the app before data is transmitted.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information, including TLS encryption in transit and AES-256 encryption at rest on Cloudflare R2. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access, update, or delete your personal information
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Data portability
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Opt-out of marketing communications

7. Data Retention

Active accounts: We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide our services.

After account deletion: Personally identifiable data is deleted within 30 days. Consent records may be retained for up to 7 years to satisfy legal accountability requirements.

Third-party processors: Try-on and wardrobe images sent for AI inference are processed only for the requested task and are not used by our providers for unrelated purposes under our agreements.

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for children under 13 years of age (or 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at [email protected].

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including where our cloud storage and AI providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with this privacy policy.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. For significant changes affecting how we use your photos or share data with AI providers, we may also notify you in the app.
